Menu (Adobe Indesign)

The colour palette below has been carefully selected, using adobe colour Pallet. My primary colours have been selected and the software assists choosing a colour tone and pallet match.

The primary colours have been chosen to represent the colours of food. More so, the colours associated with burgers. Making the colour pallet a suitable choice when designing my brand

Making use of a templates I found online from freepic.com, I sketched 8 possible layouts for the menu I will create. There are 8 options and after asking peers there opinions, the majority suggested the 1st option the be the most favourable because of the simple and most recognisable layout.

I opened a new workspace within in design and used the text (command-t) tool to create 3 text boxes, one for the menu, one for the price and another for the heading. I know the heading would not stand out on its own so I created a black fill box using the shape tool (command-M)

I continued to add 4 identical textbook groups and headings to create each component of the menu: Light bites, Mains, Burgers, Desserts.

After adding my logo using adobe libraries (pictured below )and positioning it at the top of the page I added a boarder using the frame tool (command-F). To fill my workspace and get correct sizing I adjusted the Stroke of the boarder.

I created a halo within adobe illustrator which will be a staple piece for the brand. It will be a seamless, recognisable icon other than the logo that will be recognised on all products and brand extensions.

For Example, when one sees the Golden Arches they instantly are reminded of Mc Donalds.

As seen above I have incorporated the halo within the menu and added extra depth and realism by tilting the heading where the halo is rested. Just one of many places the halo will be found.

Cow spots I added, created using Adobe Illustrator.

The cow spot seen above was created within adobe illustrator then transferred across using CC Library as pictured above also.

Below is showing the text box I created to fill at a later date with Dietary information and restaurant information.

The full menu can be seen below just follow the link or download.
